For Beginners

New to SWCCG?

The Star Wars: Customizable Card Game is a unique CCG of skill and strategy set within the Star Wars Universe. It is a two player game in which one player plays as the light of the force, and one player plays as the dark side of the force, and the two battle for control over the galaxy and the destruction of the other player.

Cards

All decks are made of 60 cards, and the card pool is divided between light side and dark side cards. Since the inception of the Players Committee in 2001, new expansions have come through the form of pdfs containing text slips that are printed out and placed over existing cards. These slips give the card new attributes and game texts. Occasionally these slips will even give the cards new names and card-types. These pdf expansions can be found and downloaded for free in the downloads section of our website.

The Cube

In addition to our standard playing format, which is open deck construction where all cards in the card pool are available for use, we have a popular limited format called The Cube. The cube is made of 480 cards, 240 for each side, and is designed for playing groups of up to ten in a draft mode. For more information about the cube, please visit here or contact Evan Fitzgerald.

Finding Players

The Star Wars: CCG has a flourishing playing community located all over the world. Use our player locator to see who is in your area, or check our events calendar for tournaments that might be nearby. You can also always ask around in the forums. Our players will be happy to help point out players that may be in your local area.

Finding Cards

Since Star Wars: CCG officially went out of print in 2001, the best way to buy cards is through Ebay, or through local supportive vendors, such as Scott Church with Category One Games. People also frequently use our trading forums as well as buying and selling with other local players.
